Frozen shoulders can be a detrimental pain for the athlete or even the non-athlete. It can greatly interfere with everyday life and normal activities. What is frozen shoulder? Also know as adhesive capsulitis, it is a condition that is generally characterized by stiffness and pain in the shoulder, can take months to heal. Don't despair, over time with treatment you will get better. Frozen shoulder is often the result of a lack of activity. For example, people who have had a stroke or masectomy may experience limited motion in their arm over a period of time that leads to frozen shoulder.

What Can Be Done About Frozen Shoulder?

Massage helps, light exercise with small range of motion of the glenohumeral joint, ultrasounds, and cold laser therapy are all helpful but still take time. Lost shoulder motion needs to be addressed early. Oftentimes, restoring motion in the neck and upper back can thaw out a potential frozen shoulder, before it becomes a long term problem that requires a lengthy recovery process. If your pain persists, then you need frozen shoulder treatment from a trained professional.

Nip it in the bud and start feeling better sooner, rather than later. Come see our Roseville chiropractors at the Accident and Sports Injury Clinic when you begin to notice lost shoulder, neck, or back motion. Certainly, chiropractic care is essential if pain is already present.

Our chiropractors can help you with the right treatment for your condition. Shoulder pain can come from many causes and it's important to get a proper diagnosis. Give our Roseville, CA office a call for more help.
