The first things is always a little paperwork. As much as we all don't like filling out forms. Insurance companies do require some forms to be filled out and we make as painless as possible. We want a history of your condition so we can treat you safely and most effectively. If you have other medical conditions, have had surgery or have other helpful information to share.

Our doctors will take a thorough history of your condition and make sure that they know the best way to treat your condition. If you have had surgery. are currently taking medications, or have another condition that may affect your care, we want to know.
We will check the affected areas, give you a thorough examination of the areas, including range of motion and orthopedic/neurological testing as needed. This will be done before any treatment. If you are new to the Chiropractor, we will explain everything before we treat anything.

Treatment
Ultrasound Therapy
If your back is "out," there is a misalignment or restricted motion in your spine. We may start with a gentle treatment called an Adjustment or Manipulation. This may include light traction, a non force technique (Activator) or manual manipulation. We may also use the drop table which allows for a gentle adjustment to your back.
It is very safe and effective, in fact it is safer than taking the over the counter medication you may have used to reduce the pain.

Therapy and Follow-Up Electric muscle stimulation therapy
After treatment with the doctor, he may have you follow up with Physiotherapy (therapeutic Ultrasound and muscle stimulation), give you stretches or exercises, and have you return for follow up care. It usually takes a few follow up visits, especially if the pain has been there for an extended time, you have injured the area before, or your age is advancing.
