How Many Visits Will It Take?
If you come in soon after an injury or pain starts, usually you will be able to heal quicker. Some are seen as little as 1-2 times for a non-complicated issue. Others may need more time for swelling to reduce, healing to occur and muscles to adapt. We make sure to start by doing a trial of care of 4-6 visits first to see if you respond well to treatment. We don't see you more than you need or want.
Will It Hurt?
Treatment is not painful. We are restoring normal function to joints and reducing inflammation. Treatment can be light during acute periods and may need to be more firm for patients that have chronic stiffness. The treatment is tailored to your needs and comfort level. Don't be afraid to speak up, we will listen.
How Long Will Healing Take?
We want you to be healthy for a long time. We want to teach you good habits that will keep you happy and healthy. Most of your treatment should be at home. Stretching and exercise along with good posture habits can go a long way. We will give you the tools to be as independent as possible.
Most injuries can be resolved in a few 3-12 visits. Some less and some more but that is a normal time frame. If you sprained an ankle it will take 3, 6 or more weeks to heal. We want it to heal as soon as possible. Delayed healing happens with bad mechanics, re-injuries, etc. We want to prevent it from getting worse too.

Should I Do Chiropractic or Physical Therapy?
Manipulation with exercise gives you the best chance to heal. They are complimentary, not competitive. We refer to physical therapy all the time or work hand in hand with physical therapists. That goes for acupuncture as well. They each have their values and don't detract from one another. You may want to exercise on your own, that's okay too. We want to help those who need our help. We want you enjoy your life and be healthy. Good sleep, eating right, good posture, managing stress, etc. are all a part of the process.
