Studies have shown that sitting in a slumped posture turns off lower back muscle resulting in atrophy and instability of the lower back, leading to lower back pain.
Compression of the lower back discs and stretching the ligaments of the back can also result predisposing the lower back to sprains and strains. Suggestions to avoid lower back injuries: 1. Get out of your chair each hour. 2. Stand at your desk when possible. 3. Sitting on a seating disc. 4. Using a lower back lumbar support. 5. Home exercises on gym ball. 6. Chiropractic manipulation to the lower back. Scott Owens, DC Roseville Chiropractor

The New York Times published a headliner article that shows that chiropractic treatment of neck pain is better than traditional prescribed medications. Exercise was also compared and was better than medication as well. This was a pier reviewed research publised in the prestigious Annals of Internal Medicine.
Exercise and chiropractic make a great combination for treating neck pain. Our Roseville office has been treating neck pains with manipulation and exercise for over 20 years. Medications have their place but too often chiropractic care is over looked or discourage by many medical professionals. Manipulation of the neck is quite safe and recommended by many medical professionals that are aware of current research regarding chiropractors and their efficacy. Dr. Owens Thank you to all our patients, fans and friends of our chiropractors, massage and acupuncture services.
We have appreciated your comments on Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, Google Maps, Healthgrades and other sites. These comments have helped patients to be more comfortable with their first chiropractic visits. Chiropractic or acupuncture may be new and intimidating to some. Everyone appreciates your kind words.
